My Blog needs a focus
Good morning,
Matthew Rock thinks that Blogs can be most boring! Stuart Rock is full of enthusiasm for them but stipulates that they must have a theme; they must concentrate on a subject of interest so that if successful they become the accepted source of information on a given subject! He suggests something like 'the Pubs of east Dorset' or even 'Wimborne'. Actually the latter is already interesting because I have posted a Google Alert on Wimborne so that whenever someone worldwide posts the name 'Wimborne' into a website...................I am alerted. The miracles of this digital world!!
So, world readers, do you think I should focus on 'The Watering Holes of Wimborne'. That could include local places of interest with a watering hole in close proximity? All this could begin quickly because David Downing insists that we commence walking 'The Stour Valley Way' in a couple of weeks so before then I need to master the 3G mobile and its photographic potential. David, all this is getting out of hand! If this comes off will I get a job at the Tourist Office?

In the future
Full of ambition. Next step is to start using the 3G mobile to more advantage.................start taking those once in a lifetime photos on the mobile....................download to PC....................upload to Blog........................and sell for millions. David Downing will be very impressed!
Day 3 of my Blogging career; all David Downing's fault. On the golf course he insisted that a good Blog must contain some memorable photos so I thought I would begin with this one of Matthew and his Indian admirers. When I first mentioned to Matthew that I was considering my own Blog, he was most disapproving.............'so boring, Father, reading someone's diary!' So I really must try to avoid showing off the grandchildren and make sure that the Rockaroundwimborne Blog is light hearted, always interesting........and sometimes pungent!

Learn by one's mistakes!
Having created a blog by accident, I suppose I ought to get to grips with it! It's all Mr. Downing's fault so I shall make him review my progress!
